Hi! Whether you somehow stumbled across this little corner of the internet of mine or you already know me personally, thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
So who am I exactly?
I am Lam Cui Xi, a young artist chasing my dream of being a freelance artist one day. As of 2022, I am also (going to be) a university student.
I believe in fate and destiny. Perhaps I started out in 2018 not knowing why I chose to pursue art other than for interest, but today, I think there is a reason the universe placed this passion within me. Even though I am still exploring different media and styles as I grow, both as an artist and a person, I have so many dreams. Maybe some day I can change the art culture and movement in Singapore where I live. Maybe some day I can sit in the studio I always wanted, with floor to ceiling glass windows and house plants, easel and paint palettes, canvases and art prints. And maybe some day some one will tell me that I have inspired them to chase their dreams too.
Having created this website in 2020 with the intention of curating an online portfolio and hopefully selling some works to be one step closer to fulfilling my dream, it has evolved into something more today. Now, it is as much an online journal of my artistic journey. Often times, people see the art, not the artist, but to me the process is just as essential, and perhaps more intriguing. My rambly artist thoughts, honest struggles and personal victories are thus recorded in my blog. If you are curious to know me better, you can definitely get a peek into my artist brain there. Or maybe if you are a young artist like me too and you don't really know where to start, where to go or who to ask, hopefully reading about my decision making process and art journey will be of help to you.

Someone once told me, you don't have to create art as a career for you to be an artist, and I think that's true. We are all artists in our own way, because art is life brought to attention.
